What is the purpose of the Mid-Level Managers' Symposium?
MLMS is a two-day professional development conference, and the goal of the conference is to amplify the successes of Black professionals and increase their capacity for designing meaningful careers.

Professionals in middle management or higher.
When and where will MLMS take place?
The Mid-Level Managers’ Symposium is designed to be a hybrid event, combining both virtual and in-person components. The virtual MLMS will be a live stream of the in-person MLMS, allowing participants who are unable to attend in person to still actively participate in the program. The in-person event will be held on October 4th and 5th at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, located at 201 Waterfront St, National Harbor, MD 20745.
What time are the sessions?
Start and end times are listed on the agenda for the program.
Is there parking?
On-site parking is available. Guests may choose from valet or self-parking. Self-parking is $33 daily and $16 hourly. Valet parking is $54 daily.
Are there any prerequisites or qualifications required to attend?
No.
How do I register for MLMS?
Individuals can register using our registration link. Corporate partners should contact Tamika Kelly at institute@elcinfo.com with the subject line: MLMS REGISTRATION CODES to receive an invoice and codes to register their employees.
What is the registration fee?
Registration costs $1,500 for in-person participation and $750 for virtual participation.
What is the reception at the National Museum of African American History & Culture?
The NMAAHC museum is hosting a reception on the evening of October 4th at 8pm, providing an opportunity for guests to mingle, enjoy themselves, and engage in social activities.
Is the museum included in the registration fee?
Yes, if you are an in-person attendee, you can attend the NMAAHC museum event.
Will there be transportation to the museum?
Yes, you can board the shuttle at the roundabout outside between the parking garage and the ballrooms starting at 7pm.
What is the dress code for MLMS?
Business professional.
Are meals included in the registration fee?

When is the latest I can reserve a hotel room?
The ELC room block group rate will be available through September 5, 2023, or while inventory lasts. We encourage you to book your room(s) as soon as possible to take advantage of these exclusive savings
What is the cancellation policy if I am unable to attend?
All cancellations, regardless of timeframe, must be received in writing, including a brief explanation for the cancellation and submitted via email to institute@elcinfo.com.
Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
Your registration is for you only. IDs will be checked on-site.

Is there a limit on the number of attendees for MLMS?
We can only accommodate 1,200 participants in-person. There is no limit for virtual participants.
What is the current COVID policy?
The current COVID policy for the event has changed since last year. We no longer require masks or COVID tests for entry. However, we respect individual preferences, so attendees are welcome to wear masks if they feel more comfortable doing so. Our main priority is to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
